To be honest i think District 9 is a whole lot of well crafted propaganda and encourages racial xenophobic attacks towards 'aliens'--not forgetting that the SA authorities usually 'molest' the 'aliens'??? _________________ Walk the razor's edge, be a road hog! |

I was given the movie for Christmas (I think) I haven't watched it yet.
I have heard excellent comments about it so I'm not sure. I will make it a point of watching it tomorrow.
The movie I did not care for was AVATAR.....the graphics amazing but another American chest thumping - good against evil same old same old.... |

as for avatar, colonialism has never been outdated.
neither has the hero who saves the wretched.
flash and bang bang, good for the eyes, excellent in that regard.
have not watched district 9...

District 9 was quite a movie... Watched like 9 months back, have watched quite a few movies in between, but it's only D9 and Sherlock that I do remember with mzuri clarity.. Nice movies.
Avatar... I had a crush on the female avatar... Really felt like sticking my tail into her tail ) |
